Hi
this may sound obscure, but I dont have any need for the locks on my Astro Cab. SO I would prefer to find a suitable push-button mechanical thing to replace the lock/key. Eg push button to unlock latch, then just close the door and it re-latches.
reasoning behind this obscurity:
I would like to use the coin storage box to put various parts such as jamma modifiers or misc cables, but since my two keys are normally left in the locks under the button panel, it makes it more annoying to move it every-time. The keys under the control panel need to be re-locked before the key can be removed. Also if I leave the key in the key hole for the coin collector, it is likely my mischievous child will help me to lose the key forever.
After some searching I cant seem to find the part I am after, most push-button barrel locks use the pushing feature to actually engage the lock. I want to push to open.
thanks for any insight. I don't really want to sell the locks, but I just don't want to use them.
edit:
thanks @ekorz great idea. Happy with that option.
