RESOLVED! (Difficulty with Newly-Purchased Darksoft CPS3)

I purchased a CPS3 from a member here. It arrived today, and I just wanted to make sure there's nothing special I need to do when starting it up. I connected everything, powered it on, and put in the disc. However. it seems to just sit on a black screen. Is there anything else I need to do?

(I had an early Darksoft CPS3 setup before with a hacked 2I cart; wondering if the new version with the Darksoft-branded card and disc is any different / if there's some step I'm missing.)

I have lots of trouble with my cart, sometimes I need to remove/insert it a few times to get it to boot.
I've cleaned it, helped some but its still rather picky.

Anyway the cart should boot even with no disc drive connected.

Cleaned the cart, and it's up and running! The cart was surprisingly dirty, which I wouldn't have expected. Thanks so much!
