Hi all,

I recently attended the Midwest Gaming Classic in Milwaukee, WI (2021). There were approximately 60 arcade machines up for auction and I bid (and won) a sit-down Cruisin’ USA cabinet that had been converted to Sammy’s Atomiswave Faster than Speed. It’s my first arcade cabinet and I got it for $280.00! It’s a little beat up, but the Monitor works great. Force feedback wheel works fine. All inputs are working. I’m really pleased with the purchase.

I own a residential HVAC company and currently am wearing all the hats (I am the only employee). Over the years of learning my trade, I’ve grown comfortable with circuit boards, relays, switches, wiring, troubleshooting, etc. I’m looking forward to adapting these skills into the world of Arcade machines and Pinball.

Sir or Ma'am, we're gonna need to see some pictures.

Welcome!

I am a Sir. My wife is the Ma’am. She is awesome and helped me get the heavy beast into my house. My daughters (2 & 4) already fight each other over who gets to play first😎. It’s a nice conversation piece that will get some mileage this Thanksgiving for sure.

It needs some attention. Maybe a new power supply for the monitor (that thing is rusty). Must’ve been in a humid garage/warehouse somewhere. The braided ground strap for the monitor must’ve snapped during transport. The fan on the Atomiswave is LOUD, so that’s getting replaced. The boards are mounted without legs using drywall screws 🙄. I’d like to outfit the cabinet with Cruisin’ USA again if possible, via JAMMA switchboard (I’ve seen some 6ers), but I need to verify if voltages are the same and whatnot. I’m definitely going to pick up Maximum Speed as well since it’s the only other Atomiswave racing game.

That thing is sick! That's every 80-90's kid's dream haha. I hope you follow through with the cruisin' USA idea. Such a good game
