Hello! I recently purchased a Rasp Pi to JAMMA adapter from Crown Arcade Shop and the kick harness doesn't register. This is on my Sega New Astro City.
I've installed RGB-Pi OS4 and it all works great otherwise.
I've set the switch on the board to kick harness. The OS is set to JAMMA 6 btn, but the OS isn't responding when I try to use buttons 4, 5 or 6 in the front end. (button 4 marks a favorite, for example)
When I launch a rom in fbneo, button 4 brings up the fbneo settings UI overlay. Buttons 5 and 6 do nothing. The same for player 2.

I've confirmed the kick harness works on my CPS2 boards (2 of them) and my MGCD (Dreamcast adapter).

I've been talking to someone from Crown and they asked if connectors 25, 26 and 27 were connected to GND.
I'm assuming this question means if my cabinet is wired to ground correctly? Are they saying there might be a short happening on the kick harness? Which would only be affecting this board negatively, and not the other boards I've used. AFAIK all my ground wire are done correctly, but Im not an expert here and followed what I saw online with my first cab.

Any help would be appreciated, otherwise I might just have to send this board back.

Thanks,

Select joy 1 option and confirm your buttons. It will present you with prompts for all 6 buttons and directions. If that doesn’t work, remap your buttons in the retroarch menu, it’s tedious but I had to do that for certain games that had buttons not correctly assigned.

You are the hero. The wiki says it would notice it all automatically (and never asked me to bind anything). But that was the fix. Thanks!

That wiki applies to OS2/3 not OS4, I know because I too was confused by it. You will get most help from rgp-pi discord.
