I am currently working on making a split button similar to the ones originally used for Konami's Golfing Great 2.
The reason why I'm making this, is because I've been wanting to add Up/Down buttons to my Spinner panel, without adding a joystick or two buttons per player. This will make possible to make more games playable with Brizzo's jamma spinner adapter. For instance, Neo Turf Masters is playable with spinners, but need up/down to select the club. Azumanga Daioh Puzzle Bobble needs Up/Down in the select menus etc.
These buttons have two microswitchs and two plungers in a single 30mm cylinder
Current 3D model:
The actual plungers are concave but I'm not sure if I'll try to reproduce that. They also have L/R markings but since I'm wanting to make Up/Down buttons, I won't be adding that for now. Maybe I'll try to make a more accurate repro for Golfing Greats 2 fans out there if need be.
First printed prototype has a bit too much friction between moving parts. I'll have to rework it a bit. Once it works fine, I'll move to making the screwing parts.
Back to Fusion we go!
