Had an Astro City where the 12v line cut out - could still boot boards off the 5v but the 12v carries the sound.

Took readings off of voltage regulator IC2, ~13v going in, 0 going out.

Where things got tricky was when looking an applicable datasheet for part 3122v (the one I removed had pins input, output, ground)

The datasheet closest I see / the part I ended picking up from my local parts shop (massive shout out to Chester's Electronics in Kenosha WI) had a different pinout
(SI-3122V had output, input, ground). Wasn't positive that any other 3122v I could source didn't have same pinout. Luckily the backside was input and not ground.
We acquired a regulator NTE1936

With the help from SkaboyTD we took a shot at using the extra lead room and shrink tubing then crossing the pins, and soldering/ attaching to the board.

That brought us back online!
