I’ve got a single-seat USA SR3 cabinet with this I/O board, part number is 171-0005UK.

The Europa-R motherboard is not in the best shape, so I’m preparing myself for the possibility of having to get this I/O working in a different PC — possibly my TTX4, which runs SR3 via TeknoParrot.

Does anyone have experience with this board or have any tips on using it in another machine?

Thanks!

Looks like a standard sega JVS board.
Do NOT plug that "usb shapped connector" into a real USB plug but only in your ttx4 JVS "usb shapped plug" ( you knew that of course).

Hmm. TTX4 uses usbio — should I not plug this IO board into it at all?

All good! I’ve heard some folks mention SR3 uses a non-JVS protocol, but info on these boards is almost nonexistent

SEGA UK I/O board is USB 2.0, not JVS.

It is recognized on a normal PC as a HID Device, as a Sega Game Pad.

Only problem is that it is disabled by default and the Shell on the Sega Europe games configures it as initialized on boot and then you can access to it using for example joy.cpl control panel.

I stand corrected! learn something knew everyday and shut up if you don't know ! :(

Should have known the Brits would do it backwards! :D
