I know the JVS Baseboard (One you connect the I/O Board) has a network port in it. I am guessing that's what you want?



I am actually wondering now if it is a special sound card with a special bios or if it is just an off the shelf part.

Yes that is the one with the network input sand stating Jvs I/o on it.
The sound card is a creative carded type, makes it easier as you have rca’s out already.

Generally when I see the JVS Baseboards on ebay (Often mislisted as I/O boards) people seam to want atleast $100 for them, usually the sound cards are cheaper.

Any idea on identifying all the i/o boards? I thinmk a JVS i/o baseboard is needed for afterburner climax? I have a jamma i/o in the lindberg yellow i believe. I am unable so far to work out what i/o works for what.

As far as I/O boards go. The sega JVS to Jamma I/O board is not liked by games like Virtua Fighter 5. It will say no JVS I/O Board found if one is hooked up. It requires atleast a Sega JVS Type 1 I/O board in order for the game to boot at all.

As far as needing the JVS Baseboard installed in your Lindbergh Yellow. I have heard some games can be run without it, but I do not know as mine came with one and I always connect my I/O board to it.

Edit: Looks like the sound card is a special one. Although it has a creative sound chip on it, there is Sega Branding and part number on it. Something tells me the Lindbergh would not work without the specific card, if the game requires it of course.

I really do appreciate your help with this matter greatly. Thank you very much. Update JVS baseboard wanted. Anyone want to sell me one please. I am unsure of what one i need there are two model numbers I am aware of and I have read that possibly only one baseboard works with a yellow

I will take a look at the JVS baseboard in my Lindbergh yellow when I get home today and see which one I have. I have played Virtua Fighter 5, Initial D and Virtua Tennis 3 on it without any problem. I believe there are a few different ones you can use that I have seen online.

I am sure there are those baseboards out there only for hummer.
They seem hard to particularly place and very pricy. Without any warranty.
I would greatly appreciate that if you could.

My Lindbergh Yellow came with an 837-14472R installed in it.
I have yet to run any software on it though... waiting on my multi to turn up in the post :)
