Hi,
I wanted to play shooting games on the multi I own with x/y gun. I found 2 Revolution X guns then I share my experience.

My installation :
Sega Lindbergh Yellow multi (HDD replaced with SSD)
Sega JVS type 1 model 837-13551-92
Undamend USB decoder
Xbox USB controller
Sega JVS Helper S-JIHP
Revolution X gun
Arcade buttons
DB25, wires...

I made a custom control panel with Revolution X gun and 3 arcade buttons (Button 3, Left and Right) so that I don't need to use the joystick in game. All other buttons Start, Service, Test, coin... are used with XBox USB controller connected to Undamned USB Decoder.

Here is the DB25 S-JIHP adapter I made for the Revolution X gun plugged to S-JIHP :
Left (pin 3) : L (arcade button on panel)
Right (pin 4) : R (arcade button on panel)
Button 1 (pin 5) : B1 => trigger
Button 2 (pin 6) : B2 => extra gun button (reload...)
Button 3 (pin 7) : B3 => action (grenade, rage...) (arcade button on panel)
AD0 (pin 10) : Gun X
AD1 (pin 11) : Gun Y
(AD2-AD3 pin 12-13 are gun X, gun Y for 2P)
GROUND (pin 16)
GROUND (pin 23)
5V (pin 24)
5V (pin 25)

All these games are working full with JVS type 1 (model 837-13551-92) on the multi I own :
- 2 Spicy HD :
B1 => fire
B2 => hide, reload
L => move left
R => move right

- Ghost Squad Evolution
B1 => fire
B2 => reload
B3 => save hostage
B6 (XBox button) => change selector on gun

- House of the Dead 4 Offscreen reload version
Gun : shoot or shake
B1 => fire
B2 => reload
B3 => grenade

- House of the Dead EX HD only
B1 => fire
L => pedal P1
(R => pedal P2)

- Let's Go Jungle Optic guns mode version
B1 => fire
B2 => fire
Start => action

- Primeval Hunt
B1 => fire
B2 + B1 => reload
B3 => pump

- Rambo HD
B1 => fire
B3 => rage
Offscreen shot : reload

I hope that will help because it took me lot of time to gather all informations I need as I am a beginner.
Next step will be to try playing with 2 players. I don't know if it's possible (AD4 and AD5 for P2 gun x/y instead of AD0 and AD1 on pin 10-13)...

Second gun doesn't work on pin 10-11 or 12-13 on second DB25 port with S-JIHP : with HOTD4 input test, it corresponds to gun speed X and Y.
Any suggestion ? Thank you.

Finally, I succeeded playing with 2 guns in HOTD4.
AD2 and AD3 are Gun X, Gun Y for P2 but is located on P1 DB25 pin 12 and 13 on S-JIHP. On P2 DB25, pin 10,11,12,13 are AD4, 5, 6, 7 and this is Gun Speed X and Gun Speed Y for P1 and P2.
So I wire Gun X and Gun Y from second gun player to pin 12,13 on P1 DB25 adapter, all other wires are left on P2 DB25 adapter. Everything is now full working.

Great work…I have been wanting to do the same for many moons now but I am waiting for a more plug and play approach..

I think you can remap wires that comes from pin 10-11 of the P2 connector AD4-AD5 to AD2-AD3 on S-JIHP itself.
