Grand Master
Hi!
Following a 2019 article on Arcade Otaku, I wanted to thank Leonard Oliveira
, who had highlighted this Mode at the time.
So I resumed my testing, which I had interrupted a few years earlier.
While searching, I realized that the crystal oscillator in my Scud Race was labeled 32 kHz, not 31 kHz.
And then I thought, "Hmm, what an idiot!" But obviously, a monitor can't handle a 32 kHz signal, so it's limited to 31 kHz. How can it do that? Well, no, lol.
That's when I got the idea to connect the Sega Model 3 to my HD-VC9900 VGA/CGA/RGBS/RGBHV to HDMI video cable on my PC monitor.
It wasn't easy and didn't work the first time, and I still find it too confusing and unstable, but there's progress.
I set the HD-VC9900 to RGBHV and a resolution of 800 x 600. "I managed to set it higher, but it only worked twice; after that, it was no longer possible."
The image was pink, so I went to the post Sega Model 2/3 A/B/C - CRX and how I stopped worrying and learned to love the bomb, where Trol talked about adjusting the "Playback" and "Clamp" settings.
