So recently I had been struggling with storage solutions on some of my hardware. Sure I could just buy a cardboard box or any number of boxes and store my PCBs like many smarter people here do but I had this weird idea in my head of bolting it to a nude pelican case for ultimate storage, security, traveling, and customization ability.

Some screws, nuts, and epoxy later and I did it. Worked out surprisingly well. I’m still waiting on some more stickers to arrive in the mail (and yes I know Mars matrix is CPS2–now I do haha).

Very interested to try this with other boards now. I intend to move in the next 1-2 years and this work will gradually prepare me for travel I’m hoping! Ignore the pumpkin colored scraps—got too excited and took pics before cleaning lol.

It looks nice, problem is that while portable, you wouldn't want to run the Naomi inside with the lid closed.
Zero air flow wouldn't be good/would build heat inside quickly.

The best travel setup for game cons (believe it or not) is rodent/small animal cages.

Reason being you gut them out and bolt everything down inside just as you have above...
With the added benefit of running with the cage padlocked shut, and bike-locked to a table.

People can wonder around and play, without you needing to be on constant watch (just near by) else they steal something or mess up the hardware.

That’s a good idea actually! I actually cant really play it with lid closed due to the Jamma connection/JVS IO edge but I did consider cutting vent holes into the case with a hot knife (the industrial kind). For now though I like staring at the stickers and keeping the lid open for the stickers and posters alone haha.
