Hi guys,
I've been trying to fix this for quite a while now - repair thread here: Fantasy Zone/Shinobi Repair and deconversion
I've now deconverted this back to a Fantasy Zone and I get the Insert Coin text, the blocks for the score and ammo etc. are all there, but the incorrect colours (all text is currently blue) - I've replaced the socket at IC93 as I believed it might be bad, but this gave me no change. Currently where the game should be I get a grey screen with jailbars through it. I have looked at the schematic and noticed a pair of LS174 at IC102 and 103 that look like they might have something to do with this area of the board, IC102 has completely dead inputs on one side but perfectly working inputs/outputs on the opposing side. I pulled it off and tested it off board where it has tested fine.
I'm not sure where to go to from here. It makes it more complicated when I can't understand the schematic so I'm not sure if the IC102 inputs on one side are indeed supposed to be floating or if there should be something sending data to these inputs, which is not.
I've got a picture of the schematic here, the LS174 chips are in the yellow square.
I would appreciate any help
