OK so VCC was not connected to rom 4 and 5 so I connected it and now it looks much better
Still seeing some weirdness

For example on Action Fighter this is the main screen - seems like it is missing graphics
Ace Attack was also odd

I will check thru the others but Golden Axe looked fine from what I saw

UPDATE:

I went thru all games and here is what I am seeing now

Ace Attacker - weird graphics
Action Fighter - weird graphics
Alien Syndrome - some weird graphics
Altered Beast - seems fine
Aurail - seems fine
Bay route - seems fine
Bloxeed - weird graphics
Bullet - weird graphics
Cotton - seems fine

Eswat - seems fine
Excite league - weird graphics
Fantasy zone - weird graphics
Flashpoint - weird graphics
Golden axe - seems fine
Heavyweight champ - seems fine
MVP - seems fine

ryu kyu - seems fine

@BladeZX OK from your Action Fighter picture it seems problem is with sprites now. Can you confirm that?
Could you take pictures of other games please?
To me data in the EPROM isn't correct, are you using a programmer with DIP40 socket and have to write ROMs in multiple passes?

@vaughan14 you need 14 x 27C322 and 1 x 27C080 or 27C801

@Apocalypse yes seems like all sprite issues for sure
I used a xeltek 610p programmer to burn all chips

Can u tell me what games are on what chips and I will try reburning one to test

The Xeltek is a very good programmer. From your list problem is with ROMs 12 & 13.
Can you go back few post earlier to see the connections to be checked or should I copy/paste again here?

I reburned 12 and 13 - did not make any difference

Roms 7,8,9 and 10 seem fine

pin 2 on ROM 10 seems to go to pin 7 on U17
pin 33 on ROM 10 seems to go to pin 6 on U17
pin 40 is connected on Roms10,11,12,13 - where does it go from there

For roms 12 and 13:
all pins are connected except 11 and 35

I see mention of vias being issues - I see a lot of them
Are there certain ones I should look for?

For ROMs 11 and 12 everything is connected except pin 11 and 41
Pin 41 is connected between Roms 12 and 13 and also between Roms 10 and 11 but not 11 and 12

UPDATE:
Once I joined pin 41 from Roms 11 and 12 things are looking way better
Went thru half of the games and so far all look awesome

Happy to know my xeltek is not the issue
Appreciate your help getting this fixed up

Hello everyone. I just have a couple of questions. In my Candy cab the Sega 16 multi is running great. In a different cab I’m getting sound feedback that kind of gets better the longer you play. Other boards I don’t have a sound issue. And on my Egret II I don’t with this either. Also playing Golden Axe I’m not able to do the super move. I thought I remember there being an issue with controls depending on what jamma adapter you use. Does anyone know what those controls issues are?

@Bay78 what kind of adapter are you using?
I'm not aware of many super moves in Golden Axe (jump + attack, same direction twice, jump then down + attack while mid air). What else? All those moves work well for me.

Hi there, thanks for the reply. This is the adapter we have. Works great, I just hear a lot about button re-mapping and don’t know much about that.

When you fill up the blue potion meter at the top you are supposed to be able to summon a dragon supposedly I’m told.

You don't even need to max up the magic potions to cast a magic spell. Works with even one potion, just a lot less powerfull and with a simpler animation (fireballs, etc.).

If you don't max out your magic meter in Golden Axe to get the coolest animations, you're doing it wrong. ^^
