Sega Triforce Screen Tearing

so my triforce seems to have started to die , the screen on boot up is now tearing , so i am looking to get this fixed somehow as triforce units are now costing a stupid amount

am sure it not as simple but what if i replaced the media board ?

Won't help it. Mine had all sorts of graphic anomalies. Putting new capacitors on the bottom board fixed it.

Tried any different PSUs? I get noticably different effects depending on what power supply I'm using.

Then it's probably the GameCube motherboard that's gone bad. If yours is a Type 3, you can pilfer one from a Type 1. I did that once. You cannot take one from a GameCube though.

There's a Chinese seller on eBay that has Type 3s for sale for 260 USD shipped. I think that's a fair price. I bought two from him (although I had to recap both when I received them).

had it in the mario kart cab (that its from) and my namco noir & viewlix with same results, didnt know that about a type 1 mobo though
