Hi guys,

is there a simple JVS supergun readily available?

What is needed is a way to plug in USB controllers into the JVS port of arcade systems.
Only the control part is needed, not video/sound so AxunWorks C-box is a bit of an overkill.

I've seen some interesting things like Betoop's IO-Buddy USB-to-JVS adapter: http://www.betopp.com/
but, he's not selling it.

Or this one: https://forums.arcade-museum.com/threads/jvs-usb-control-box.486639/ (but I don't have access to my neo-geo.com account to contact SpamYouToDeath for the most critical part)

Is there another option beside using an i/o board with a control panel?

Thanks for your reply!

I was not aware of the existence of the MultiJVS PCB. It still needs a PSU, but it's great that you can connect DB15 controllers to it directly.

I'm aware of everything else you said, I was just looking for the cheapest and simplest solution.

In the past, I was using a PSU, a Sega JVS I/O and a Naomi control panel to test my JVS systems outside a cabinet (our cabinets are stored far from home).

I bought an AxunWork C-Box, and it's awesome as I can also test JAMMA PCBs on my HD TV. But this is for someone who wants to play JVS systems on his TV with the minimum hassle.

I was hoping that a device like the IO-Buddy USB-to-JVS adapter would be available for sale: http://www.betopp.com/fun/iobuddy/20180930/box.jpg

I've also been kindof curious why something like this does not exist.

I've been using my axun cbox to play exA Arcadia games on a monitor, and that feels insanely overkill :)

A small box with a JVS IO in it should essentially be enough? Shouldnt even need a proper arcade PSU. I think just 5V dc input should be sufficient for input handling(?)
