am I seeing this right? this Type 1 version has not network booting right?
 
It net boots I just had a dim in the was not setup for netbooting
 
You can get the Type-3 tops for a /reasonable/ price from Yaton. But yeah Type-1 requires the naomi topper same with triforce Type-1.
