Hi to everybody. I have found this SEGA System 1 board in Spain. It's a legit licensed board by TECFRI, and as you can see it uses SEGA 315-5011, 315-5012 and 315-5093 custom ICs from Pitfall II game.

The issue is this: the CPU game info is 100% original "Pitfall II (Flicky conversion)", and "Pitfall II" original set doesn't boot here. Also I have tried to patch "Pitfall II (Flicky conversion)" with RomPatcher for using a standard Z80, but the game refuses to boot unless I put 315-5093 again, so the board has something in the IC137 pinout that maintains "encryption boot".

So basically, I need somebody to tell me what can be the "last barrier" of protection deactivation here, and if any Wonder Boy set could be mounted here seing Pitfall II factory set doesn't boot.

yes you can convert this board into wonderboy I
Thanks!!! Almost have it!!

Can you tell me in System 1 board where the SYNC pin is headed to? In this board is directly GND and I have problems with many screens

EDIT: alright, SYNC goes to 74LS86 in the top corner, IC10

In first place, the correct set to use is Wonder Boy set 1, and when using Rom Patcher utility, you have to check CustomA option.

Many thanks for your time @golani

Also I have put original metal heat, volume pot and 11 signal filters from a SEGA System C2 donor, so now is even more authentic, xD.
