King of wide-screen CRTs. Good working shape. Has a few scuffs in the casing.

NEEDS to have the antiglare peeled off. Not a hard job, but a little time consuming.

Trade for a switch game I don't have, or like $40 or something?

This is more like the “queen”; they did make a 40xbr960 if I recall.

And local “pickup” is more like local “bring 3 people”. F this thing, it’s so beautiful and so goddamn heavy. I used to sell them, and it was easily the best looking 1080p picture in the whole high-end store.

They made 40" 4:3, but for 16:9 I'm 99% sure any bigger was rear projection.

I'd be happy to be proven wrong though!

Let me make a call bro...I think I have someone swinging into your neck of the woods shortly, and he can haul it back for me.

Oh no I think you’re right. This was the biggest widescreen one. 1080i though, not p, right? Man that was 2006... it was 200lbs. The 40” was like 350lbs but yeah it was 4:3

This was the nicest widescreen we had still... we didn’t have the 40” on the floor and I never sold one because who wants to deliver and install that beast.

Indeed! We would run halo2 on this, side by side with the (at the time) best projection tv - Sony 70 SXRD. The crt won for picture quality, but the 70” was more fun!

Well, if it does manage to make it out this way, it shall certainly have a fine home, with plenty of company, as I have a NEC XM37, and Sony 32FS120, and 36XBR800 already.

If not, I hope it finds one, sincerely. :)

That'd be great!

I simply don't have any room for it. I got it, it went into storage, and I never see it coming back out, ha.

I've got 2 NEC XM29 Mitsubishi rebrands, the 40" 4:3 pioneer, an FW900 and half a dozen other displays... There just isn't enough room and I certainly don't need all of it. This is just easiest to let go of because it's already out of the house.

that is a lot of toys:) I am still looking for FW900 without black crash.. I had one FW900 and the HP equivalent but when I turned it on, there was to much brightness.. The brightness eventually goes away as time goes by, 45mins later and I got a perfect picture. I traded them off because waiting for that long was too painful.

@SNK-NEO-GEO don't forget to look for the SGI branded ones too.

Thankfully mine came from a local guy who had it in his garage the past ten-ish years and the crazy guy recapped it before selling it. It looks brand new, pic is lovely. It's really a stunning monitor. If I had to wait 45mins for it to come to a nice picture I'd have traded it off too, ha.

I wish it behaved a little better with HDMI -> VGA adapters though. I have to find the right timing for turning everything on in order to not have it give up on looking for a signal. Usually takes me 3-4 tries with the Switch.

will look for SGI as well. thanks...I had no issues with timing on mine with an HDFury2... It would take WiiU/PS4/XBox1/PC with no issues.

I'll have to look into an HDFury2 then!

Anyone want this?

I really need to clear up some space in storage.
