So after much trial and error, I'm finally stuck.

Running the multi in my Egret II. I've got a rev. 7 board, G PAL that came with the kit, double-checked the jumpers, interconnect PCB in its correct orientation with all pins seated nicely, auto reset wire installed and confirmed working.
I'm fairly confident the 4GB Class 4 Sandisk SD card is good, formatted for FAT32 and loaded with a PC.
I get sound, I can coin up and can hear that the controls are responsive, but the screen is black.
However, I do notice a slight flicker between flashing and loading a new game.

EDIT - I just loaded up Dimahoo, and during the attract mode the screen flashes white three times ?(

Any ideas what I should try?

Did you verify your A and B boards were 100% functioning before installing the kit?

It seems the program rom pcb is functioning and the interconnect is installed properly since it is booting.

Both A and B boards were separately sold to me as tested and working by trusted members with plenty of positive feedback.
However, my overzealous self skipped the testing process and went straight to the multi install..

Unfortunately I don't have a 2nd B board to test ||

I received this kit yesterday. I received the A and B-boards as well as the kit to test. First I tested the B-board and kit as it was installed when I received it and there was sound but no video. I then pulled the main kit pcb and installed it on my b-board and still had no video. This would show me that the B-board is most likely not the issue. So on a hunch I took my SD card and loaded the same game (1944). The video was now showing after restart. So I took the his SD card and after examining it I noticed that in every folder for every game only files 1-3 are present. This means that the GFX roms were not present and therefore never loaded and that explains the black screen. So I reformatted the SD card and copied my card image to it and the games loaded and played fine.

The majority of the problems we are fixing are improperly set up SD cards.
