I'm planning to clean my New Astro speakers and I wonder if I can use some degreaser... As you can see, there is a lot of dirt all around the membrane. What's happen if I put the speakers into the water?

If it's not causing any sound issues, I'd recommend leaving it if you can't remove it with a gentle brush. They get very delicate when they're older and can just turn to dust!
What would happen if I clean this red border with a q-tip or a brush, and a little bit of degreaser, or alcohol?
I'm not gonna sink the whole speaker under the water, just want to clean the border of the membrane.
