do the reset wires have to be hooked up from the board and the cart to the selector in order for this to work?

It's not necessary, you'll just have to manually reset after flashing a game.

I have the reset wire hooked up, I highly recommend it. Just makes it that much cooler.

Nope, I didn't widen it up, so that the 3D print models would still work. But as two of the legs are ok ja the others work just using double side tape or drop of hot glue. It wasn't originally meant to be installed on the board, it was just "accident" that the spacing is almost same

Yes. I used some metal hex standoffs and a touch of hot glue to mount it in place.

I've got cash money for the guy who designs a plexi "sandwich" style (logos etched in) enclosure with a mounting space for the LCD selector.
A-la what @FrancoB has in the works for F3.

After taking another look at it tonight, I decided to redo my LCD mount to make it more stable and supported. I used PCB feet mounted upside down on the board for support, and a touch of glue to fasten the box to the mounts. It works well.
