So I am wiring up a Naomi set up and I am going to use a Sega / Capcom JVS-IO with the built in sound amp. I want to output stereo since the input is stereo.

However on the JAMMA harness there is only output for one speaker and on the CPS kick harness I am only seeing the connections for an external audio controller.

Am I missing something?

Thanks

Can you post some pics? JAMMA is mono only. Capcom I/O has stereo in and out (RCA connectors), which I never understood. I guess maybe just for manual volume control, because amps like those in the big blue cabs didn't have that.

But, you can simply bypass the I/O and go directly from NAOMI RCA stereo connectors to amp RCA stereo connectors.

I may be missing something from your question, again pictures will help.

With the Naomi 1/2, you are either running stereo out of the IO RCA jacks (Red/White) through it's internal amp, or you direct connect to the Naomi if you want to run stereo audio to something.
Personally the cleanest audio without noise is generally direct from the Naomi base unit and use an aftermarket stereo setup via RCA.

You will get mono out of the jamma through the IO despite you having the stereo connections plugged in.
It looks like you are looking around pin 10 on the Jamma head that will deliver your basic bitch mono sound.
Refer to the PDF I attached. MIND YOU, this is not for a Capcom harness, but it's all the same.

Here's a nice useful link to a manual for a Naomi cab. It's generally pretty easy to understand. The Sega-Naomi.com is a great resource for reading up on why and how things work.
