Anyone got a CPS-1 Strider they want to sell?

Not into paying the stupid prices on eBay right now, just want to play the game..

Want an Original preferably. Would settle for a cheap and clean conversion if it would hold me down as a donor for the multi too :)
 
I wouldn't want to use Yaton's CPS1 A board for the multi. They are usually pretty beaten up - specially the A board.

A few months ago he had some really nice (looked almost like deadstock) CPS-1 conversions with Dash boards. Regret not grabbing one in hindsight.
 
Yup, Yatons, from time to time he has some nice stuff, but most of it its beat within a hairs width of its life, but they usually still work good.

I got a king of Dragons that was made from NOS parts from yaton. He does not make those conversions properly, he just gets the title screen to come up and thats it. Lots of those will have sound/visual issues.
 
FWIW, I was able to make my own Strider conversion easily using a Street Fighter 2:CE donor and ROM files from @Apocalypse. It's pretty easy as long as you have an EPROM programmer.

Damn. That kinda sucks, but having a NOS “A” and “C” board would be pretty nice for the upcoming multi. Plus I could make a donation to Apocalypse and do a nice conversion :)

Yeah, that's why I haven't bothered to try to get it converted properly or converted to another game. Just gonna wait it out.

Mainly after clean A and C boards (I like minty boards) as a future donor for the multi like you @radiantsvgun

I wonder how hard it would be to convert to Strider for the time being? Is it simply getting some EPROMS burnt?

That, I don't know. you might be able to ask @cpsystem3 on how to do that.
 
Cancelled the Varth and ended up getting a Strider conversion directly from Yaton which cost $180 and is about 95% working -- there's a few minor audio/visual discrepancies, or maybe it was just how the game was and I forgot? Also, it's a Dash board, but there's a handful of repairs and replaced parts on there.

He was meant to make this for me using new old stock parts, but he forgot, so he's sending me a brand new A and C board which will work be stashed aside for the multi.

Well worth the $ and I can recommend keeping an eye on his auctions if you're just after a cheap Dash Board setup for the (forthcoming) multi without paying current and future dumb prices.
