So I ordered one of these which reads as USB, which will work fine for almost all Taiko No Tatsujin Games.

Except for Namco 246 / 256 games....
I got a hold of a "Drum and Fun 11" for 246,
so now I'm wondering if the generic USB to JVS adapters floating around on Aliexpress / Amazon
will do the job, as they're designed for fighting pads... not drum controllers. And if not would I be able to make my own with a Teensy or Ras-Pi, to get the input from the HID or whatever it designates itself as, and map it to a certain input / type?
Anyboy attempted something like this before? Any Guidance?
