For a project I'm working on, I needed to bore out the start button to 30mm.

Seemed simple enough, but I wasn't counting on the thickness of the laminated artwork. The end results are not great...

Thinking heat might improve things, but before I make it worse with a clothes iron I thought I'd seek advise.

I don't think there's a clean way to do it. I've had better results with a punch, but if the laminate is thick, it will crack and / or separate.

Get a new overlay?

Thinking a hole drill would have worked better, but even with a new panel I’d still need to enlarge the hole. Would be an expensive second try that might end up worse than the current.

Will think on it a bit but might try heat. Worse case I could paint or add a sticker…

While far from a perfect solution, a 2" red sticker covers all sins. Axunworks forgotten worlds spinner installed.
