Taito Type x3 Problem With Multi.

Thanks dude, that would be great! I'm new to the X3 so am in that annoying no man's land not knowing if it's something I'm doing wrong, or if it's a fault with my X3, or if it's a fault specifically with the JVS card in my X3, or if it's my IONA, or if it's my Artax settings. or some combination of the above!

Unfortunately I don't have any original X3 HDDs, just my Artax SSD so I can't even test that element of it.

All I want is to basically consolize my X3 and be able to switch it on, plug in my Xbox 1 controller and play!

Oh and I know it's not a fault with my Xbox controller, as when I plug it in directly to one of the USB ports on the X3 mobo it works fine for navigating the Artax front end, and also works fine when plugged into one of the mobo USB ports for playing the Ring games that are already configured for it such as Initial D 7 etc.

Hi,

Why don't you actually simply use your xbox controller and a soft like Joy2key with TTX3 original mapping as below ?

The IONA has been … odd. It worked fine with the TTX3 when I first got it, but then I updated the firmware to the latest and it stopped working with the TTX3. I need to mess with it some more and figure out what firmware version the TTX3 likes - I’ll look into it this week and will let you know.
STQ, did you ever figure this out? I just got my TTX3 running with image 4.1 and I can only use a USB keyboard plugged into the TTX3 motherboard. When I plug my PS3 joystick in (Razer brand I think) all I get is joystick and 2 buttons, and when I plug my working IONA into the JVS port, I get nothing at all.

I'm wondering if my FW is wrong on the IONA, it is an older one, v2 and I don't know how to check it's current FW.

I got the Iona working on mine by using an older FW. I forget which it is but I can confirm its at least usable (although the input lag is pretty poor).
Ah, so basically a newer FW (although we are not sure which one) is no good?

Is there a way to see what FW my board has?
