What is the most recommendable / best street fighter II hack?

Are you talking about World Warrior or Champion? World Warrior only has a couple, the Quicken 2 mod is cool. Champion has tons, most people like the Rainbow or Red Wave.

Yes i can't choose between this 2 hack.
But i'm affraid than rainbow is maybe very messy ( or more messy that red wave ? Correct ? )

Yes, Red Wave is more playable. Here is a video
Rainbow is kind of crazy and it's only fun to play for a little while,
 
They're all the best and once the CPS-1 multi is out, you can enjoy them ALL!

Red Wave is definitely more "playable", however they're all fun to jump between... sometimes you just want the glitchiest bastard version to have a laugh at!
 
Any that give a 'practice' mode imo. Infinite health, supers, timer, etc.

Koryu is the best SF2CE for me, its more like a penalty shootout, each battle generally take maximum 20 seconds (not counting M Bison flying off 3 layers up, in that case its generally to run the clock out - operators hated that lol), minimum around 5 seconds and it gives a relatively unskilled player much much higher chance of beating an experienced player. Its better than official obviously and even other boots that sped the game up better.
 
I think they are all pretty much garbage, but koryu is my favourite of the lot
 
Not a "hack" related but I would like to get in to the series and I have CPS2 multi. So which Street Fighter game would be the best "intro to series" on that hardware? I read that SF 2 Turbo is ranked best, but it also seems to be the hardest? Might kill my enthusiasm if I can't beat the first opponent :D SF Alpha 2 seems to be also highly regarded, but will I miss something going straight fo that? I have beat Tekken 1-3 on my cabinet and played lots of MK2 as a child, but never got into SF and now I think is time to fix that!

So gimme your pick, which game should I start with (CPS2 hardware only)?
 
On cps2 either super streetfighter 2, super streetfighter 2 turbo (pretty much the same except for game speed with turbo playing more like a modern fighting game) or Streetfighter Alpha which has less to get your head around than Alpha 2 or 3 and was originally designed to be kinder to uninitiated players and give them a bit more of a chance than in hyper fight and super streetfighter.

Do not get Hyper streetfighter 2 15th anniversary edition, while similar to super turbo it was only a limited release and has the hardest most technical vs computer fights of any streetfighter.
 
I’d agree with suverman on Koryu being the best.

There’s also a ‘Sheng Long’ hack out there that’s got some really funny win quotes and endings.
