I thought about picking one up but you only the hdmi to connect it to a bigger display. I think you have to supply the charger. I don’t know if I want it anymore. What does everyone else think?

Why would having to supply your own charger be a dealbreaker? Yeah, they could've just included one, but USB-C chargers with sufficient output are even cheaper now than when the mini was first released. Not a big deal at all IMO.

I like it. It's cool for what it is. It's basically a overpriced toy, it is not intended to replace real arcade boards or more advanced alternatives like the MiSTer. Rotation mech is a nice touch. It all feels very quality to me, you can tell they wanted to make this thing good without breaking the bank to do it.

They're also up to Volume 3 of their SD card releases of additional games. Volume 2 goes for big, big money, which kind of makes sense since it has amazing games (notably Night Striker), but it is also silly that a SD card with ROMs on it sells for hundreds of dollars. But that's the hobby these days.

True. Plus it has Kaiser Knuckle and the unreleased Dan-Ku-Ga. I still might pick it up for those games and puzzle bobble.

As the linked thread notes, there is CFW. But being a consumer whore, I ended up buying the overpriced SD cards anyway.

Vol. 3 has 3 games that support the Cyber Stick USB reissue: Top Landing, Aqua Jack, and Galactic Storm. This is one of only 2 devices that officially supports it, along with the Genesis 2 Mini.

Same, I am one of those people. I'm a little ashamed to admit I wanted the card from the jump, didn't buy it, then ended up paying through the nose for it later. But I only paid about half the current going rate, so I guess it isn't too bad?

If anyone wants to smarten me up about CFW, I sure wouldn't mind an unexpected PM. Just saying. ;)
