Hi,

If you wanted to go "deluxe" to replace your sun PSU for a new PSU for a naomi 2, and you wanted to power the board, a sega i/o board, a capcom converter and a CF reader at the same time, would you use this PSU?

http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-RM750...e_keywords_browse-bin:2888290011,p_89:Corsair

It supplies waaaay more amperage than the one needed by the naomi, but I don't know if the amperage is supplied "on demand" (if the system drains too much power the PSU will automatically provide more amps) or it sends the whole, full amperage as soon as the PSU is powered on.

Simple answer is yes, I wont go into details and explain how switch mode power supplies work. The PSU you referenced will work with your setup.

I am currently using a refurb Corsair HX1200i (1200 watts rated) I bought for $65, I havent had any issues with it.

if you look at the output specs of the SUN PSUs they're roughly equivalent to a 200-250W PSU... I'd go with a 350W or so just for a factor of safety and to make up for the fact that it's non-adjustable.

This is late 90s tech, 750W+ is WAY overkill.

Also I thought the whole point of going with a PC PSU was due to the fact that Sun PSUs are too expensive. Makes it kind of pointless if you're spending MORE on the PC PSU than you would on a a proper adjustable arcade power supply.

Wow 119$, I'll sell ya a official Sun Naomi PSU for 80$ shipped. ;)

Oh wait Costa Rica? Nope maybe not shipped, sorry.
