The original Samsho is the hardest to find of the four fighting games. It's probably a $150 cart on its own.

Let us know if you settle on selling and a price. $300 for that other lot I would have went for just cause but that buriki game looks trash.

Sure thing.. let me do some digging.. $150 for Samurai, my intuition is telling me that is the very low end..

Buriki One is the best game on the hardware.

@SNK-NEO-GEO Im not going to offer my opinion on the price and quite frankly, you know what you're going to ask already. So why not just post the prices? :D

To attempt to be helpful, you may want to let people know which motherboard you have. Rev 1 motherboards are essentially worthless, as they require the cabinet to be wired for MVS. Rev2 motherboards are more sought after as they can be switched to jamma.

how do I know which revision do I have? I thought that they were all jamma?

Motherboard Revisions
The fighting game board has 2 revisions. The first revision looks to be JAMMA but is not true JAMMA as the sound does not come from the JAMMA edge but from an AMP connector mounted on the front of the board which is controlled by a potentiometer. There is a modification available to get mono sound off the JAMMA edge which involves removing a jumper and setting another. There is also a mysterious extra +5v connector that is supposed to be connected to the back of the board to "prolong" the life of the board per SNK. It is still unconfirmed if having the extra +5v connector connected actually does increase the boards life. Some say it is to divert the heat of the high amps going through the JAMMA edge. The 2nd board revision is true JAMMA and also has a switch to select between JAMMA output as well as MVS output which has stereo sound. It is easy to tell each revision apart, Revision 1 has a volume pot and amp
connectors on the front where the Revision 2 board has only amp connectors(around 5) on the front of the board.[2]
If you put a game cartridge in a motherboard that does not support it, it will report a (MACHINE CODE ERROR). If you have the racing board and do not connect all of the analog inputs before bootup it will also throw up an error.

Theyre all "jamma", but the Rev 1 is wired for MVS. Plugging it into a regular jamma wired cab will cause damage. If the motherboard has a switch that goes from jamma to mvs, it's a Rev 2. If not, it's a Rev 1. Rev 1 has a volume pot on it as well, in the front where the connectors are.

Essentially worthless? Hmm, well if that is the case, you can mail it direct to me, and you can cover postage, just to get that shit out of your house... :P

Of course it's not worthless, it's also very easy to modify the Rev 1 for the sound from what I read online (but haven't done in person).

I don't own HNG hardware anymore, but I indeed did give away the Rev 1 board I had.

While I wasn't aware there was now a way to repurpose a Rev 1, you can't assume that all buyers will want to open up a board they just bought an perform mods to it.

I wouldn't care about the non-JAMMA vs JAMMA. However that +5V connector to "prolong" the life of the board is scary.
I didn't know that and I'm glad the info was posted. Now if I had to buy a HNG I'd definitely go for a V2.

Yes for sure, it's odd! I'm pretty sure people run them without the extra connector plugged in, but who knows... if I were buying one and had the option, I'd shoot for V2 as well, but I don't think it's that big of deal, certainly not enough to give the V1 away for free as @DecepticonZero has done.

Then again, every time I post my opinions of values for games, he says I'm over pricing, I guess on this one, anything over FREE would be over pricing!

Despite this, @SNK-NEO-GEO, I don't think you should just give it away, I do think it's ok to charge someone money for it, despite it being a V1! BUT if you do go the route that DZ went, I'd be happy to cover shipping to me for it!

No, again, I told him a V1 is "essentially worthless". I didn't mean he has to give it away for free. Shit knowing SNK he'll ask $475 for it, and that's his choice. He doesn't care what you, myself or anyone else says. He knows what he wants, which is why I poked fun at him to just post his asking price. However, the value of a V1 board is pretty much next to nothing compared to the V2, and it's been that way for the better part of two decades.

I'd also like to remind you, that we don't even know that he as a V1. If he has a V2, he now knows the he has a better board and can ask more for it.

I don't think I'm better then anyone, and I honestly don't know why you hold such a grudge against me for you being wrong about something. If you find me being honest, as being rude, well thems the brakes man. I honestly don't know what to tell you, but by me calling out you in ONE thread, you now have a sandy clam. If you can't handle that, I'm sorry. Let's not forget, you came in this thread running your mouth about me.

I honestly don't give a flying fuck if he listens to me or not, but hopefully I saved him a bit of grief when a new person gets the board and can't get sound if he has a V1.

let's keep the tread clean guys, I appreciate everyone's help  .. we are all in the same boat/hobby.... I have had differences of opinion with members here but we moved on and become friends..UD comes to mind, he is a great person and met him in PHX and he even setup my brother with a PC monitor

Let me know when you are going to sell me those Aero cities so I can make room for them 8) .

That's a Rev 1. So, honestly like $35 is probably top of the mark there. For the full setup, I'd say $200-230 honestly. A full kit SS64 is about $150ish, I'd value the loose at $100.

My MVS-U4 will go long before the Aeros leave too. 8)

I actually was looking up all the set up stuff and saw that about the revisions having different game compatibility and other stuff. Interesting for sure.

Also good to know about buriki being good, looked odd, will have to check out more gameplay.
