I have the v4.1 multi. I want to use it on two linked cabinets.
I've tried:
Namco Noir JVS IOs. Doesn't work at all.
Taito JVS IOs. Only the second node works.
Sega Type 1 JVS IOs. Only the second node works.
Taito Fast IO (the Jamma edge one). Only the primary one works.

Is this just not supported?

I also tried using two brook UFBs but they dont seem to be bound at all and it seems pretty tedious to have to fix every game for them.

Not sure if it would help but the JVS-PAC 2 has cabinet linking:

  • Rapid JVS updates for low lag
  • Enhanced shift-key operation, works with 1-player panels
  • Configurable keyboard mapping
  • Easy firmware update
  • OLED screen with menu
  • Cabinet linking
  • Support for 4 player, either with Capcom IO in 4 player mode, or cabinet linking
  • 4 mounting holes, and shipped with screws and PCB standoffs

That would be similar to using any other USB controls (like brook boards) with the multi, requiring remapping everything.

No it's not supported. You need to splice out player 2 wires from cabinet 1 harness and run them to cabinet 2. Split video/audio etc.
