Anyone know what's the max supported memory on a TX1? And would anyone know a battery holder that works with it to use a normal CR2032 or whatever is equivalent to what the ones with soldered-in batteries use? I think it's a CR2024 or something stupid, but I'd have to check.

Thanks!

If the Type X2 maxes out at 4 gigs of ram, then the X1 also maxes out at 4 gigs of ram (windows XP-32 bit). No clue about the battery holder though.

From the motherboard manual (DFI G4S306-C), a max of 2GB memory is supported.

However, the 865G Intel chipset is listed as supporting 4GB.. but as @300wins points out you would be limited to 3.5GB anyway given 32-bit OS.

As for batteries... you could ask @invzim :D

Ugh, thanks, lol. I was afraid of something like that, given all the components in the area. Guess I will just wait until the battery dies before I bother figuring it out.

4GB of RAM it is, then! It's cheap enough that it doesn't matter, but I just wanted to try and get whatever modules were specifically supported.

Thanks all!

The linked manual should cover you on memory specs etc
