This is useful to pump the volume of the standard MiSTer build so you don't have to turn the TV volume too high getting a background noise. Not really needed if you use a decent external DAC, but useful anyway to get a more granular control of the volume with one knob.
Used sporadically since it's a backup unit I no longer need.
