Hi- I'm going to have to necrobump this guy- Is there a general consensus on why Taito went with this array in this cabinet? Am I correct that the lower speakers are midwoofers and the uppers are tweeters? I've looked at a copy of the instruction manual which is low quality and I can't read the description for each of the two distinct speaker modules. I'm guessing this is similar to car speaker placement with tweeters close to ear level due to high frequencies having less dispersion?
I ask because I plan to replace them during my cabinet restore and I suppose it would be easy to duplicate what others have done here with the drop in Dayton Audio speakers. With that said, I might look into some other options and thought someone might be able to provide some commentary on the sound design of the cabinet.
Thoughts anyone?
