I want to complete the cabinet with artwork, but I do not have the art holder for the top of the cabinet, above the marquee. I cannot seem to find these anywhere. Maybe because I am not using the right terminology/name for it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

I bought one from Here. Cheaper than getting directly from taito although I have not heard many good things about shadaloo in general.

Yeah I always hear some horror stories. Thank you for the link. Dunno why these are so expensive... =/

They are more expensive from Taito for sure. One thing to note, the original marquee seems to spread the light differently than the copied versions.

Yeah that's what I am hearing, like the front and back panel has different thickness and makes a huge difference. I'll probably have to ask one of my japanese hookups if they can somehow snag one.

I don't own a Shadaloo reproduction so I can't speak to the quality (having ordered the reproduction two player control panel I suspect it's really bad).

One important thing to note about the official marquee holder/plexi's...

When Taito made the Vewlix F (and Vewlix Capcom which is basically just a red colored F) it was made with lights inside the holder piece.
For this reason, the plexi that shipped with this version of the cab isn't 100% clear... It has a white frosted look that catches the light and makes it glow.

When Taito made the Vewlix Diamond (and Magician's Dead and Diamond Black) they had totally dropped support for the lighted holder (where as before only the L version was excluded).
These "newest" version marquee holders (while matching in every other aspect) are 100% clear (with zero light catching frosting).

Oh so basically, I should be looking for the frosted variant to get the correct lighting? Man, these cabinets are a dime a dozen in Japan, yet parts are a pain in the ass to acquire.

It reminds me of cars... You see them all over the road all the time, but when you need a seemingly small insignificant part the damn thing is 800$ via special order only. ;)
