Hi,
I have a project I'd like to undertake but simply don't have the time, patience or ability to carry it out myself.
My Viewlix unit (or it could be a clone I don't know) is new, but arrived damaged via shipping (long story).
Here is what I’d like to do:
- Replace two lower front metal panels with new ones (being sent from importer). If these can't be removed then consider repairing the nicks. If this just can't be done I can live with it...
- Replace monitor with a 32" probably LG, whatever is best value and/or easiest to swap in.
- I am using a Pandora Box 10th Anniversary but am not happy with it. So, either replace it with PC build/MAME Emulator setup, or ‘fix’ issues with Pandora Box. Mainly the controls need to be properly mapped (and a couple other issues)..

All necessary components would be acquired by me, prior to the project beginning.
I would be hiring someone for 2-3 hours(?) to help 'make it all work.'
If anyone is interested and local, please let me know. As I said, I would compensate for time and expertise.
Thank you!

I am VA as well and though this isn't something I would be interested in, thought I might add a few things to help you in your search.

Going off your list, this is what might be helpful to get you rolling.

If this is just the access and coin holder door, it should be an easy swap. If it is the frame, that is much different. Might need filler, paint etc. Pics of the damaged area would help people gauge what is needed.

Again, you would want to confirm what the machine is. (Vewlix / Chewlix etc.) I just did a swap into my Vewlix FC with FrancoB's bracket and it was straightforward with excellent instructions, but was a bit time consuming to get it adjusted "just right". Probably spent 2 -3 hours just on that, but I wasn't hurrying. Hadouken Arcade also has a kit for this. Some people have fabricated spacers / brackets on their own, but the kits are well worth it IMO. If it is a clone, I have no idea what the easiest route is.

I am not a huge fan of the Pandora's Box, but mapping the controls shouldn't be bad if you go with that and the machine has everything connected (harness / CPO). I used a TTX3 with the Artax multi and it is an easy setup. You or who you hire could use a PC for that multi or as you said other emulators. Again, knowing what the machine actually is and the I/O or connection would help you to find the best match or what you need to purchase.

Best of luck!

Thank you for the response. Here are two photos of the left-right lower left panels (not doors, but the colored framing). The 3rd photo is from the sales site, not my actual machine. But that's exactly what it looks like.

Well that is relatively good news! Much better than frame damage especially since they are sending you replacements and these pieces are definitely able to be swapped out without to much fuss. That seems like a Vewlix clone and I know there are a number but from some quick googling it seems the clones can be easier to swap the monitor in than the original Vewlix. A VESA mount and some bolts / spacers seemed to get it done. Again I know there a variations in the clones so hopefully someone more knowledgeable can point you at the parts necessary for that one.

Yeah its a Viewlix clone, I just had that confirmed.
Where can I find "FrancoB's bracket?"
This is a photo of the monitor it came installed with..
