I recently purchased two working Virtua Fighter 2 board stacks. Unfortunately one of them got roughed up in shipping. The PCB feet broke off and the board was moving around freely in the metal cage during shipping. Obviously not a good thing. Aside from the broken PCB feet, there doesn't appear to be any physical damage to the PCB.
Here's where things are not working. I hooked the board up to my setup and it runs, but it acts like there is no video sync signal. Basically the image is rolling around as if the sync wire is not hooked up. Sound and controls are working normally otherwise. Testing the other working board on this same setup works perfectly. So I know my setup is okay.
What would cause this? The only thing I can think of is that the pins to whatever chip that generates the sync signal have come loose after the PCB got banged up.
