Virtual On Linking

I recently picked up a Virtual On: Cyber Troopers twin machine and have both sides linked, but noticed that the attract demos don't sync. This may be a stupid question... but are they supposed to sync?
The two games will link up for battles just fine, so it seems like the link is working. My other Sega twins, Daytona USA and Super GT sync during attract, but I can't find any reference as to whether or not Virtual On does.

Here's what I just saw on mine:

- if I start the game, yes they are.
- If I start a one player game, when that game ends, they don't sync again.

Thanks! I wasn't sure if I was going to have to start hunting down some obscure board issue, but glad to know this is normal behaviour.

mine had "obscure board issues" which happened to be a bad communication board ( the last one on the bottom of the stack... don't even touch it, look at it or think about it!)
I was lucky to have a spare board that had the communication board working but it took a while to figure it out ...

Enjoy that game. It really shines when you play with somebody else!
