Yeah those things suck big time, that’s why they break and also that’s why they are harder and harder to find :P

Supposedly they break so often because of lead free solder and/or soldering problems. If you reflow the solder with a lead base they are said to be much more resilient.

Yeah...but those chassis are absolutely nuts as far as the amount of stuff crammed into them. The component spacing on a chassis similar size...like a sanwa pfx...is like double. I have no idea why Weiya built the chassis with the circuitry they did, but reflowing them is NOT a small undertaking. If you aren't a soldering wiz, you may be looking at a multiple day bench project.

might this also work on the Toshiba A68KZN696X tube?
Top is still labeled as: Nanao MS-2930

the rodotron and weiya replacement chassis for the blast is complete trash. Yaton has been posting 2930's recently, so just follow him on ebay and scoop it up when he posts them.

thanks for the warning, the wei-ya chassis sound terrible. So I will be on the hunt for a proper Nanao chassis. Am I right that both, the MS-2930 and MS-2931 should be a drop-in replacement for my MS-2930 tube?
Thanks for the tipp with Yaton, will keep an eye on him.
