I have an orphaned 19k7000 that I'm trying to fit a replacement tube to from commercial televisions but I keep running into a problem. The board was rescued from a 1924 cabinet that was abandoned and trashed in a backyard and some components were physically broken, including the width coil. It turns out that there are no replacement coils to be had, so everyone uses the 25k7000 width coil. Unfortunately every 19 inch tube I've tested so far has a narrow raster that leaves half to three quarters of the screen unused. Using width caps adjusts the picture inside the raster, but not the width of the raster itself. If I go too far with the caps then the picture starts to roll onto itself and a resistor starts to smoke.
I want to try a wind a proper width coil to see if it will solve my problem but can't find any specs online about the expected inductance range. Do any of you have it documented, or can take a reading from a known good coil?
