I know its technically not a Sega platform, but I have my Chihiro 2 in there right now, with Chunskin's wipi netbooter (for the card emulator) and I get occasional r/w errors - I think its because the wiring isn't shielded, so want to create a better, shielded connector, and not dupont wires.

Can anyone tell by looking what this connector is?

You get R/W errors probably because the python replay script is broken. I'd play MT2 for some games and bam the script decides to give a wrong response, and this was with a shielded cable and going into an actual RS232 port in my computer.
