Thanks for the replies. I’ve kept my eyes out here and on KLOV and EBay for a reasonably price A+B board. I’d be open to buying the multi and the board set and sending for assembly, for a fee presumably. Of course an assembled kit to drop in would be preferable

This is exactly what I did and couldn't be happier. Buy a kit and have @Mitsurugi-w install it for you. Easy peasy, and no worries of non technical folks like us ruining an expensive multi kit.
