Just picked up a nice rare hotd European mirrored cabinet.
It looks like it's missing some artwork at the front of the cab and the top header too.
Iv seen the artwork on the mirrored usa cab and just wondering is it the same as the eu one.
Just wondering would anyone happen to have this cab or have any nice pics of the missing artwork so I can get them redone

That's a bit odd looking! Never seen one that has the guns in the middle.

The uk cab had the guns in the middle and the red and blue guns, way better looking then the us cab.
There is only 2 know of these cabs in Ireland and this is one of them, i do know a few lads in the uk that has them, but still missing the same artwork.

I think that cab just didn't come with the front artwork. The ones that have it have the artwork on a separate metal piece. Your cab doesn't have that.

I was thinking maybe it was a conversation at first but it's definitely original. Very hard to find any detail on it.
I was thinking the same about the artwork, it looks really nice all black.
There's a picture online of the us one and it has a top header, love to know was that the same as the UK one

I have had 3 hotd’s (got 1)
3 vc 1 (got all 3)
3 vc 2 (got 1 now)

My inspections and research tell me:

The Jap cabs have a metal front below the diagnol
Speaker panel. And pcb access is different
The rear profile and front profile differ a bit and the wood is different thickness.

Vc uk is same as Jap hotd2/vc2
Uk Hotd / vc2 have the central gun

Just searched phone for photos

Also vc type p- the grail
It’s got a rear facing 19” medium res, possibly 14”
Onto a curved mirror that gives a larger screen size than the 29” up facing mirror.
It’s like a dx, the dimensions you see are about 50% larger h and w, giving 225% screen area reals estate.

Was converted to Hotd, and this insert Hotd screen burn

It will be converted back in 2023, and I was so lucky to stumble on the topper soon after purchase

So it’s the front panel art your after on I’m spec machine.

Sorry for going over the same stuff you have mentioned already in the thread.

I have so much on, so I do t know when but I can create a file.

I bought the go to scanner people use on side art and never tested it in 2 years and it needs yo windows which currently have no machine running it. I will get there and hopefully sooner than later.

I've been thinking of installing HotD in my Virtua Cop cab. I absolutely don't want to do a full conversion, but I thought I could swap all the easily changeable artwork. That means marquee and the start button surround. Could I ask you fine gentlemen (@SBDESIGN, @Mickysmoke) for pics of these? Scans would be amazing, but I'll definitely settle for decent pics!

Also, what would be really cool would be finding a topper. Anyone seen one ever?

What’s the desirable aspect of the P type cabs? I was offered a VC1 p type that was converted to VC2 but passed it up.

It’s a jap style cabinet for VC1, it’s pictured a few times in here including the post before mine.

They are rare, but asides that aspect I’m not up to speed on their desire.

I believe they have a different mirror projection setup to give a widescreen type look, but have never seen inside one to confirm.

It's a weird model definitely. Outer dimensions are more or less the same as the regular upright. The screen doesn't even look that large in the mirror in the Yahoo auction pic, and in reality it's just a 20" tube.

@nem My side art is still a bit beat up i took a few pics anyways and took a few of the centre art, i can't any good shots of the marquee there was way to much shine from lighting probaby better scans online. I'm missing player 1 and player 2 art, i'm not to sure were they on the Uk version but im fully sure i seen a lad on discord with the same cab that had the player 1 n 2 art work, il chase it up for ya mate and see if i can get better shots in the day time tomorrow too, these one was kinda the best i could get.
