Hi, do you have any recommendations for how to go about also powering the AMP up connector that is generally found in Naomi Universal to power the I/O?
This is using a Sega Naomi via VGA. This is the best monitor I have been able to find so far and I was planning to put it into a Naomi Universal (I realise mounting it will be a challenge and the 1" loss will mean I have to get creative on the bezel).
Any advice on what adjustments I can do?

Cool, I did contact the seller and it turns out they have another Sanwa for £270 - but untested (short hand for broken and I can't remember why it's in my garage most likely - apologies if you're a member here). I'm starting to think of going the LG DualUP route - seems all told it costs about...

Any ideas what might be in the UK version?
Hello all, I've been on the lookout for a while for a replacement screen for my Naomi universal.
I've spotted a Sega Chiro cabinet with Ghost Squad. From what I can see - it looks like a Universal cabinet that's been painted black with the light gun area to the front.
From what I've been able...
Doesn't post/show screen - looks like the previous owner started re-capping the board and damaged some pads. I have fitted any caps I could, but still no luck.
Tried without a game and an N1 game (as these work without the 2 removed ICs).
Strictly for spares or repair. Collection preferred...
Some good news, after leaving it a week or ago and doing lots of RAM tests - finally IC16 is consistently showing as BAD. N1 games have minor corruption in their graphics now.
I'll be looking to swap IC16 and IC18 - thankfully these are 16-bit ICs so a little more of my ability level!
Hello all, my Naomi 2 has just started showing the checkerboard pattern when playing N2 games. N1 games seem fine.
RAM test on N1 and N2 mode are showing as all GOOD. If I hit the SERVICE button as it loads the BIOS you see the screen clear up for a moment on the N2 game. Screen looks OK in...
Hello all, I got this from arcadeartshop and I think it's wired wrong. Only one button works on P2.
From what I can see, the GND is wrong for P1 and P2 (in this photo 2nd on the left). The 2 diagrams I have managed to find support this.
Anyone else got experience of this?
I couldn't seem to find the post.
I have for the moment got hold of an ASUS 27" gaming monitor with VGA - will advise on the results. First impressions are it looks very good!
Sadly I only have another Sega JAMMA IO - that's working fine.
I have used a DMM to confirm the wiring looms have continuity.
I did some playing and found hitting the service button does eventually respond when I tried with my N2 (its incredibly laggy). It seems the N2 also behaves differently...
I have a Sega JVS IO that is being detected by games. Coin counter and mechanism is connected and working (luckily an old £1 coin was in the machine!).
However if I load the BIOS menu up with the TEST button (on CAB), the SERVICE button doesn't work (in the game it adds a credit). If I try the...
