Can a driver be installed on another pi os like retropie to allow this board to work with a/v and controls?

Is that operating system necessary? I am probably not going to change mine since I dont think its upgradable. its on jessie and I think it just needs to use the right gpio pins

I checked the wiring one every set up I tested it on and the B button just doesnt want to register. It did work but I want to say I plugged the JAMMA harness in backwards and a chip near the JAMMA connector started releasing smoke after about a couple seconds of powering it on. I expect that...

I am not sure where the video chips are or what to try to replace. I assume VRAM or some video processing chip replacement may fix the video issues but audio works fine and the game seems to be running well but here are a couple pictures for reference of the video displayed and the PCB.

you got it working right? Does the Arduino one just need 1 reset wire attached to the a12 on cn4, and the power for the arduino?

I cant tell 100% because whenever the arduino is powered on the video feed from the arcade game goes blank. It doies seem to reset it through some visual ques like the video goes a bit fuzzy then blank after the reset button was pressed

I received the 10p idc cables today and tested it but even with these adjustments it doesnt change the game. I have the reset pin attached to the 4th pin in on the header that you connected the pi switcher to. The OLED is showing the right stuff but the switcher isnt working right yet.

i dont know why but its fine now. Maybe the JAMMA to s16 adapter was not exavtly straight

I plugged a sleector into a JTAG headers and the graphics and stuff are all messed up. Im not syre thats why theyre messed up but it was working better before. Do you know if that could do it or how to fix it?

I jist inadvertantly tested the board by powering the arduino amd the oled shpwed the game title icons! Im looking forward to trying the cables

My 6 slot has scratchy audio and it seems like the right speaker has no audio on at least one game. I want to say I plugged in a JAMMA harness backwards once or twice and powered it on and that damaged the audio circuit or YAMAHA sound chip. Does anyone know if these should be the audio...

I lost my 10p idc cable so I need to wait for more to come in the mail. Also I did not have it when I "tested" it there>> So my 'experiments' were flawed! And thats one reason why it didnt work for me there. I did the modifications to one of my boards so im just waiting on the 10p idc cables
