There was no sound, I didnt have a cart or dimm installed but guessing it should still play a sound during the Naomi logo sequence. Might switch out the ramdac just to check, this was on 15khz as well.

I had the same issue before, turns out the script I was using wasnt quite right. It has a timesout set which was tripping things up. I can confirm that the script @vholfx attached is the correct version and works as expected.

thanks @breakingcades, yeh this is the case. There is no orange/red led. Only one solid green and blinking green. I need to sort get hold of the right adapters for the firmware chips and will give this a go!

yeh i've tried that, it still boots to a black screen. removed pic re-seated ram tried just the base board all black screens.. I'm getting hold of another net dimm, I will try mixing and matching parts to see if I can narrow down the issue. Else i will change the buffer and maybe reflash...
