Based off of the things their team has posted in the past, manufacture of the boards and cart shells are done somewhere in Europe.

Now THAT would be a great idea.

Good memories of downloading it from ARPAnet and playing it on my old ENIAC. Any plans for showing some video footage? Is this intended to be the final version of the cart in terms of hardware or is it still a prototype? If you're going to compete with the NeoSD, now's the time to show your all...

Been using MAME since MAME became a thing back in the late 90's. No qualms here.

Thanks for the preview! Looks like its starting to shape up really nicely, and should provide good competition for the NeoSD. This is probably already planned, but a progress bar with time estimate for loading would be good to have. Staring at a blank screen waiting for something to happen...

Nice! Great to see another local Neo fan here. Not too many of us from what I've seen.

FYI, you can currently play Irritating Maze with a joystick using the UniBIOS and an original cartridge.

All well and good, but I'd like some reassurance that this will be the case with the final product.

So just to confirm, is there a solid guarantee that upon release this device will play all legit games without issues or modification beyond needing decrypted ROMs?

Sign me up for an MVS one. I might get an AES one later, but that's down the road.

Technically it would be a 148-1 cart. Knowing that the 161-1 cart was able to achieve that by doing hacks that reused already present resources, is it still not possible to have all 148 games on one cart? What about splitting the cart into two? Just a thought.

Let's not forget how happy this would make AES and CMVS owners who are limited to a single cart.

Reading about potential loading times of up to 75 seconds for the flash cart makes me want the FPGA/RAM one even more. I will gladly spend a little extra dough to not be subjected to first gen Neo-Geo CD loading times. If I wanted that, I'd just buy one of those.

Not just NG-DEV games. Neo carts in '99 and onward started being encrypted. Its been a while, but there was a fairly decent roadblock to getting legit KOF '99, '00, and Garou roms back then. That said, there are decrypted ROM sets so that shouldn't be too much of an issue. While I'm not a...

I would figure issues with the button combos not working well are due to poor programming on the 161. Personally I'm far more content to use those than have a button on the cartridge itself, since its much more of a pain to have to open up the control panel on my cabinet whenever I want to...
