Mark of the Wolves Reverse Engineering thread

Not really a question of reverse engineering, since the neo-sma asic used for bankswitching the P rom was documented a while ago by hpman. Compared to the other 3 neo-sma games Garou never had a release on a different pcb (BK1), so you're stuck dealing with a 8MB P rom plus the neo-sma dump file...

Reverse engineering 161 in 1 cartridge to change Rom games

Well it would take that all NOR flash lines to be routed through the CPLD in order to use boundary scan. And even so, reprogram a NOR flash that big through boundary scan it would take up to 90 hours.

Neogeo diag bios crosshatch testing / custom prog board

That's amazing @ack where you took the neodiag bios after the disassembly. @maki was kind enough to sell me one of his extra pcb's, looking forward to try it myself.

MV1F no graphics or sound, only text. No failures from Neo Diagnostics BIOS and cart. Possible bad L0 ROM?

it is, some traces go under the asic. Should go to neo-b1 and as04.

MV1F no graphics or sound, only text. No failures from Neo Diagnostics BIOS and cart. Possible bad L0 ROM?

It seems to me that it's a problem with the PCK1 clock from the LSPC for the C ROM latches. So check the traces from that pin.

Espgaluda 2 (CV1000) repair of bad U2 NAND using JTAG

Oh, what I've meant is that in the source code of the Flashcat software you can check flashmemory.vb to see the whole NOR flash definitions and if yours aren't there you can add them.

Espgaluda 2 (CV1000) repair of bad U2 NAND using JTAG

For U2 you'd need the TSOP48 NAND adapter, their NOR one won't work. There are more adapters for the flashcat Mach/Xport here. Also for the undetected NOR flash, you can use the source code for the flashcat software to add support yourself.

MV1B Graphics Glitches/Artifacts in Text, Only Occurs with NeoSD - Regular Carts are Fine

I suspect it's a neo-buf issue. Check the board if one of the neo-buf ICs was replaced with a repro or a bypass flex.

Eye of Typhoon: Remake (Beta) of Unfound Prototype

i think the problem is that you cancatenate the two proms into a 9MB file. It should be done as with garou, kof2003, etc and just rename them to prom and prom1

    Reading 64mbit C-ROMs

Most likely it has a bad Altera CPLD. Your best bet is moving all ROMs from the SF1 board to a BK1 one replacing P1 with a 27C160 containing the decrypted ROM.

    help needed-mv2f vertical lines+no sound 2 slot

Check the outputs of the Neo-257 at J-2.5 and K-2.5 with a logic probe. Once you rule that out, it's definetly the neo-zmc2 or a trace that goes to it from the neo-257. For the 2nd slot audio, it's the unibios 4.0 the isssue... try the stock bios.
