1942 PCB issues...

The board works fine except down at the bottom of the there is a single visible horizontal line that runs across the screen. After the second demo is complete the middle of the CAPCOM(r) logo is missing.

I've done some work to the board. Replaced the main power cap/sound cap. When I got the board roms 6/7 were ripped out of their sockets. I managed to straighten the legs but 2 legs on rom 7 had to be reattached. I've check for continuity and seems to be ok. At c56 There is a broken ceramic disk capacitor. (Can somone explain what those do?)

Does anyone have any clue on how to fix something like this or at least point me in the correct way?

dump all the eproms are compare them to mame.
does the board have a self-test?

Yes, it has diags and they do not pick up any errors. Loaded the cross hatch not seeing any lines, looks normal only during gameplay. Still trying to get a good shot of it but it's hard to see. Roms are good, using revision A. I'm wondering if that broken filter cap has anything to do with it, still trying to get a few.
