Sweet! The GitHub is fairly sparse on detail, but more is being added every day.

I have been interested in this project for some time. It seems that all of the old knowledge of CRT circuitry engineering and design is lost to a previous generation. I would love to rack an old professionals brain to try and really get a hang of the function of all parts of CRT driver board so that it may be possible to really get started on a sort of universal solution. The hackiness of tapping the jungle IC line seems like just that - a hack. There has to be a better way of doing things.

If anyone wants to shine some light on this area - I'm all ears

Hoo on over to this thread, there are a series of interviews with the creator linked. He describes in great detail all the functions of a CRT driver board, how he implemented them, the tradeoffs, and a draft roadmap for things like per-pixel convergence it’s epic
